The Main toolbar provides quick access to the following functions:

 

Toolbar Button	Description
	Create a new TechWriter project.
	Open an existing TechWriter project.
	Save the currently open project.
	Build the currently open project and generate the documentation.
	Refresh the currently open project.

 

When the Annotations tab is selected, the Format toolbar provides access to the following functions:

Toolbar Function	Description
	Copies the selected text to the clipboard and deletes it.
	Copies the selected text to the clipboard.
	Pastes the current contents of the clipboard.
	Causes the selected text to be displayed using a bold font.
	Causes the selected text to be displayed using a italic font.
	Clears any formatting from the selected text.
	Creates a bulleted list.
	Creates a numbered list.
	Links the selected text to either an external web page or an internal topic.
	Increases the amount of spacing to the left of the text.
	Decreases the amount of spacing to the left of the text.
	Left aligns the selected text or image.
	Centers the selected text or image.
	Right aligns the selected text or image.
	Causes the selected text to be displayed as a superscript.
	Causes the selected text to be displayed as a subscript.
	Assigns the selected style to be applied to the current text.
