Glossary Item Box
TechWriter supports documenting web services that are defined by a Web Service Definition Language (WSDL) file. When you add a WSDL source to your project, TechWriter displays the following dialog.

Use this dialog to specifying the location of the WSDL File you would like to document. The location may be either a local file or a web address.
Tip: If you are documenting multiple web services in the same project that utilize common types, you can avoid duplicate definitions in your documentation by including a WSDL that defines a section for those common types. To mark the WSDL to be used for this purpose, check the box "Include imported schema types only for documenting common types".
After you successfully test the connection to your web service, TechWriter displays the following dialog.

Use this dialog to select which service and port you wish to document. If your web service contains multiple services and/or ports that you wish to document, you will need to add the WSDL to your project multiple times, selecting a different service/port combination each time.
